A lot came out of that Call of Duty: Ghosts presentation! The graphics were better than ever, with the new engine producing more detail, dymanic shadows and so much more. Dynamic multiaplyer maps will offer earthquakes and trapdoors to change the environment, and even the little things, like better smoke and AI for fish as you swim past them! The story is even written by Oscar-winner Stephen Gaghan (Traffic, Syriana)!

All in all, Infinity Ward have promised us the best Call of Duty game ever, and after that trailer, it’s hard to argue!

EA’s biggest announcement was brief, but shocking – exclusive content for FIFA Ultimate Team, only on Xbox!

18:16 21/05/2013

EA are developing four games for Xbox One – FIFA, Madden, UFC and NBA, powered by EA Sports Ignite.

Creating a new engine will help define sports at the most basic levels, creating almost living sports and players. New technology lets you make smart decisions with increased intelligence and awareness, adding much more human actions and reactions to your players. Better animations will add better emotion. And the crowds will be powered by Xbox LIVE, keeping things up to date with real-world events.
18:16 21/05/2013

A few choice tech specs – 8GB RAM, USB 3.0 connection, Blu-ray drive, Variable power states, Wi Fi and Silent Running!

The Kinect has been rebuilt for ultra-precision, recognising you, your voice and your movements. The 1080p wide angle view picks up 2GB of motion data per second, and it can even read your heartbeat during exercise games.

The Xbox One Guide is the new way to watch TV. Voice controlled search navigation removes the need for finding the remote, favourites let you choose and pin your favourite shows to build your own channel. Trending lets you see what other people are watching the most, both in terms of live and on-demand TV.

18:16 21/05/2013
There will be 15 exclusive games for Xbox One in it’s first year alone, with eight being all-new franchises. If Remedy’s Quantum Break is any indicator, we’ve got some very good games on the way!
18:16 21/05/2013

New Motion Gestures let you navigate through the different programs instantly. And if you want to run more than one progrmam at once, Snap Mode lets you do this. Browse the net while watching TV and more, using your SmartPhone as a remote control!

18:07 21/05/2013

With those two words, the Xbox One will turn on, not only with voice activation but voice recognition! It knows your voice and loads up your personal home page, complete with remembering what you were last doing… and was that Forza we saw? And quick voice controls to switch between live TV, gaming and more!

F1 car supremos McLaren revealled an interesting tidbit on their Facebook page: “Xbox is revealing something special. We think you might like what they’re announcing…” Our friends at IGN suggests this could be further evidence of a Forza announcement this evening. But it’s been a while since there was a Project Gotham Racing game.

Well, we can dream, can’t we?

3D Glasses? A new Kinect? These and other functions have all been created, at least in prototype form, for the next Xbox – at least according to The Wall Street Journal. That respected paper has published an interesting piece regarding Microsoft’s big announcement and how they may hope to compete with smartphones. Will any of these prototypes appear as part of the finished console this evening?

Less than 11 hours until the future of Xbox is revealed, are you excited yet? Make sure you are ready today at 6pm.

06:55 21/05/2013

During Major Nelson’s latest podcast, Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Chief Aaron Greenberg revealed that tomorrow’s big reveal is part one of a two stage event.

“The best way I can describe it is, we’re really going to tell one story across two events. So we’re going to start on the 21st [of May] and really that’s about revealing the next Xbox platform and our vision for the future of games, the future of entertainment. We definitely have a lot of surprises planned.

“People are going to get a great inside look at the making of the new platform and the team that brought it to life. To be honest it’s really about the team, the people here. We’ve never done this before, so it’s really exciting to be able to do that.

“It’s a lot of laying the foundation, and then just a couple weeks later we go to E3, and E3 is all about the games. It’s going to be tons of exclusives world premieres.”

10:35 15/05/2013

Could the the first game from Respawn Entertainment appear exclusively on the new Xbox? According to Kotaku, the debut title from Respawn – the studio headed by Call of Duty creators Jason West and Vince Zampella – will only be coming to the new Xbox (and possibly Xbox 360). Little is known about this new game, but Kotaku have their theories on this, too.

Could this be the first big name to sign up to Xbox exclusivity?

15:10 14/05/2013

Excitement isn’t the only thing building at Xbox HQ as the days countdown to the New Generation reveal.

Thanks to tweets from Xbox’s Major Nelson and Aaron Greenberg, Microsoft have started to construct the home of the new Xbox Presentation. Not long to go now…

I think the new Xbox should have an easier way of transitioning quickly between gameplay and being able to communicate with teammates or friends. It would also be good if it was able to support many different kinds of controller, wired or otherwise. #GAMEXboxNews

  2. hame 7:04 20/05/2013

  3. Christian 7:30 20/05/2013

I would like to see a blue ray DVD player in the new Xbox as well as some new Xbox accessories and have some Xbox controllers that you can customize.

    • Alfie 6:31 21/05/2013

Christian, Sony managed to © the use of blu-ray disc readers in consoles, so that wont be happening.

    • Fred 7:25 21/05/2013

Blueray is sony so i dont think you will be seing that on xbox…

    • Kriss 7:35 21/05/2013

They stated during the reveal it will have a blu-ray drive so i would assume that means Blu-ray dvd capability

  4. Clay 9:08 20/05/2013

l would love to see multi tasking as you can play a other game at the same time as the one running in the background

  5. robert vine 9:28 20/05/2013

  7. Paul Hurley 12:07 21/05/2013

Options on how to watch this exclusive

  8. Chewbacca 12:14 21/05/2013

It will be called the Xbox Infinity.

It will NOT have a Blue-Ray player.

It’s gpu etc will be a little lesser than the PS4.

The PS4 and Xbox Infinity will be not as powerful as a gaming PC from 4 year ago; making them outdated already.
For the price you will pay for a console: you might as well build a budget PC; games are far cheaper and more satisfying!

    • andy 5:58 21/05/2013

Pc nerds go way Xbox rocks bring on Xbox infinity

    • Brown 6:45 21/05/2013

Well you were wrong there then…

    • Nate 5:14 21/05/2013

The ‘new’ one. Microsoft are revealing it today, or at least making a big announcement about something XBox related. No one knows anything other than that. Except Microsoft, of course.

  13. Amanda Lazenby 12:53 21/05/2013

I’m sure that gamers will be very excited to hear the news…us parents however will be interested in one thing only: How Much is it going to cost???

  15. Scarlett 2:17 21/05/2013

I am SUPER excited about this but I’m also really hoping we might actually see the -console- and not just the controller for this one (Ahem, Sony. ¬_¬)

  16. james 2:28 21/05/2013

roll on 6pm i cant wait for a look of whats to come

  17. lawrence 2:42 21/05/2013

cant wait to see the new Xbox 720…. based on x64 system and will have blu-ray

  18. Ricky Angel 2:48 21/05/2013

I’ll buy one the day it comes out regardless of what this announcement tells us… Its bound to be an improvement over the XBOX 360 (which is already the best console anyway) so it makes sense to have the latest and greatest. If you think about it the Xbox 360 will be 8 years old by the time the new Xbox launches. Assuming the new Xbox costs £600 then that works out at £6.25 per month over 8 years so it is a no brainer to buy one in my view…

  19. Bradley 3:17 21/05/2013

Less of a social aspect for me. I don’t wanna Facebook every game I play.

  20. Xobx 3:20 21/05/2013

There is no guarantee that we’ll have the answer to this question, but stay tuned to find out more – it all kicks off at 6pm (BST).

  22. Sasquatch 4:34 21/05/2013

Is the Xbox gonna be presented on this website with actual footage that Microsoft are giving?

    • GAME 4:49 21/05/2013

Hi, yes we will be streaming live footage from the Xbox Announcement right here – stay tuned and you won’t miss out on a thing!

  23. Michael Dutton 4:47 21/05/2013

I am Excited for the new xbox and i hope they let you see it, i want it to be quieter/ No sound when its loads up. i want most things wireless that would be cool i also want it to be lighter and Blu-ray will be good but most people will just complain that it will be copying the Ps3/ Ps4. i want it where its limited to any downloads or where you can loads of friends instead of it say you cannot add anyone else contacts are full. The NEW XBOX will be around £500 to £600. i want xbox live cheaper what won’t happen but it will be better that way, the pad should stay kinda the same just more stylish and the name to me doesn’t matter its more about what it does and what it can do.

  24. Jake Wilson 5:36 21/05/2013

    OMG cant wait but…
apparently you have to always be connected to the internet :P

I’m not excited, I’m frightened! I fear change. Actually my son (who is on the autism spectrum) fears change, so I am hoping that the new Xbox is as close to the old Xbox as possible, or that I’ll be able to keep the 360 running for some time in the future.

I saw nothing impressive with this event at all, it was more about tv channels or Skype, rather than bring the gamer the ultimate gaming experience an due to that it puts ps4 firmly in front

The new Call of Duty was the highlight of the event looked simply fantastic looking forward to seeing more of that as time goes on

I think that it isn’t really a good idea bringing out forza 5 only for the xboxone as there is already thousands of forza fans like myself who would rather buy the new game than a new consol. Therefore I will not be buying the new Xbox until I know it works fine and is good fun
